Endings

There are many different types of endings. They can embrace, divide, upbeat, or be bitter sweet. Here are the most used types:

1. Circular -> end as you begin.

2. Triumphant ending -> Fantasy/ Sci-Fi / Action

3. Embrace/Blessing -> romantic comedy. Character and relationship. Union, acceptance, or understanding.

4. Going down the road alone -> In life you are alone so character is alone. Typically westerns, detective and gangster films.

5. Freeze Frame -> Everything stops but the story continues. Thelma & Louise, Butch Cassidy, Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels.

6. Extreme Long Shot -> After an intense moment used to give perspective. American Beauty.
